From Beginner to Breakthrough: A Real Harbor 9 Experience

“I dabbled in golf in 2020 but never really committed to it until 2023. To say I struggled would be an understatement! A few lessons here and there weren’t enough to make a real difference, but I knew I was missing out on a great way to stay active and spend time with my husband and friends.

Then, in January 2024, I discovered Harbor 9 Golf & Sports Bar was opening on Cape Ann. Determined to improve, I made a commitment to play there at least twice a week throughout the winter. My husband—who had always resisted playing with me outdoors—agreed to join me in the simulator, and that changed everything.

David and his team were incredible. They provided just the right balance of guidance and encouragement, helping me correct the inevitable habits of a new golfer without ever feeling overbearing. And beyond the golf? The atmosphere was fantastic—great vibes, delicious food, and a welcoming bar that made every visit enjoyable.

Fast forward to outdoor golf in 2024, and this has been my breakthrough season. The hours spent at Harbor 9 paid off in ways I never expected. I’ve been playing twice a week since spring, and I can finally call myself a competent golfer! There’s still room for improvement, but I know exactly where I’ll be when the offseason hits—back at Harbor 9, refining my game even further.
